The cotton weave is surprisingly dense for how featherlight it is, so it stays put on the sand even with a breeze kicking up. I love that flipping it over gives you a whole different stripe pattern—it’s like getting two blankets for the price of one.
I folded it up to slip in my tote and it barely took any space, which is exactly what I needed for the beach. The reversible stripes mean I can flip it halfway through the day if sand gets on one side.
