The velvet side feels genuinely plush, and the bamboo backing keeps it from getting too warm at night. That piped edging adds a nice tailored touch that makes the bed look sharper than it cost.
The piped edges give it a clean, tailored look on the bed, and the velvet side is genuinely plush to the touch. Knocked off one star because the bamboo backing, while soft, tends to slide a bit on my duvet cover when I toss and turn.
The bamboo backing keeps things cool enough that I don't wake up sweaty, which is a nice change. The velvet is soft, though I wish the piping stood out just a bit more against the fabric.
